2nd Engineer

80m Private Yacht looking for 2nd Engineer. Med based with a quiet itinerary (so not a place for someone looking to build sea time, usually 4 busy months then quieter for the rest of the year). Usually in Spain Sept-April. Engineering department is a team of 4 (CE, 2nd, 3rd, ETO) with 28 crew in season. We require a SV <9000 minimum. We are looking for a strong second engineer, who can run the day-to-day maintenance in the engine room and let the chiefs to do the organization, planning, administration, and accounting as they're busy on that aspect. Strong electrical knowledge and good hands-on engineer essential. Looking for someone who can settle into the position for several years and isn’t looking for a quick stepping stone to a chief’s position. We can negotiate the salary for the right candidate. Rotational partner has 20 years experience onboard, since she was built. Two very experienced, strong, 3rd engineers, so 2nd needs to be confident without being over controlling. Full rotation. Shared cabin. Start April. Salary €6500-€7000 depending on experience.
