2nd Engineer

50m MY looking a temp second engineer starting mid-May for around 5 months to assist in a busy 6 week guest trip with lots of movements and passages, following on into a shipyard in San Diego for around 3 months for an intermediate survey and maintenance work. Northern European motor yacht with rotating Chief Engineers. We will be traveling to the Galapagos for approximately 6-7 weeks for guest trips and require someone to assist with underway watch keeping as well as maintenance onboard during that trip. It would be ideal for someone requiring sea time or just generally interested in the position. From the Galapagos we will be heading underway to San Diego to commence our 3 month intermediate survey and maintenance period. For this part we would require someone with experience in shipyards who is able to run semi-autonomously to allow myself to run the shipyard. Departure in Southern America around 11th of May and would require someone to be onboard for the passage across to assist with underway watches. We are willing to take 2 separate engineers for the 2 separate periods required, however ideally we would like someone to be onboard throughout so they are familiar with the vessel by the time we get to the yard.

Preferably someone with a qualification higher than an AEC, but an AEC will also meet our safe manning requirements for the right candidate.
