Description
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a 2nd Officer for a 50m+ yacht. This Second Officer role is primarily deck-oriented but includes holding a navigational watch, requiring an OOW (Officer of the Watch) license. You will lead a team of 3 deckhands and report to the Chief Officer and Master. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified OOW to gain hands-on experience aboard a reputable, well-maintained yacht. The vessel has an exciting cruising itinerary with a 10-year survey and full paint job scheduled for the 2025/2026 winter.
Requirements
• OOW Certificate (mandatory) • This would be ideal for an experienced bosun • Strong deck operations experience • Motivated and eager to develop navigation and leadership skills • Team-oriented and comfortable working in a structured crew environment
