Captain

We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Captain for a 72ft Della Pietra motor yacht, built in 2008 and Maltese flagged. This private vessel operates seasonally and is based year-round in the South of France, cruising the Mediterranean during the season. The owner has extensive yachting experience and values clear communication, professionalism and a well-managed yacht. The Captain will be responsible for the safe navigation and overall command of the vessel, ensuring compliance with flag-state and maritime regulations. Duties include maintenance planning, overseeing yard periods, managing contractors, monitoring budgets and operational costs, liaising with the owner, and planning itineraries. Maintaining high standards of safety, presentation and readiness is essential. Candidates must hold a minimum Yachtmaster certification with commercial endorsement, have proven experience as Captain on yachts of similar size, and possess valid STCW and ENG1 certificates. Strong Mediterranean experience, particularly in the South of France, is required. Professionalism, reliability and excellent organizational skills are key.
