We are seeking a confident and capable temporary Chef (male or female) to join a 36m private vessel based in Palma and Ibiza for the summer. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a well-run, family-style program where the galley is yours to own. The vessel will host the owners on and off across a six-week period, and otherwise you'll focus primarily on delivering delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced crew meals for a team of eight. While the guest program is light and relatively straightforward, the emphasis here is on being a great all-rounder who can manage both guest service and crew food with equal care and efficiency. This role would suit someone with experience on smaller yachts, used to managing a galley solo or with minimal support – you're not stepping into a large team but a close-knit, supportive crew environment. The boat operates primarily as a dayboat, so guest meals are often spontaneous and usually just one sitting per day, prepared in a simple, elevated Mediterranean/American style with a focus on flavour and presentation. Think fresh, seasonal, vibrant, and unfussy. You’ll be joining a positive, fun crew and working alongside a well-organised Chief Stew. You’ll also have the chance to meet the owners properly, who are active and experienced across yachting and multiple vessels.

Requirements

• Previous yacht experience preferred – ideally on smaller vessels • Culinary training or strong galley/kitchen experience essential • Confident working alone and managing galley end-to-end • Strong knowledge of Mediterranean & American-style food • Positive, proactive attitude with good energy • STCW & valid medical • Excellent references
