Deckhand

This is a very active program. The family and crew do most everything together. Eating, cooking, hiking, activities, etc. It is a dry boat so best for a crewmember that enjoys a healthy lifestyle and spending LOTS of time onboard as there is not much "off the boat time". The yacht is 25m / 76' Motor Private US flag. The position is based in New England for the summer, with the yacht heading to Antigua in March/April, cruising the Caribbean and Southern Bahamas, then back up to NY - June/July, and New England - August and Maine (September). The crew may also fly out to Southern California to help out on the sailing yacht from time to time.

• ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months+) • US Passport/Green card Ideally - valid minimum 1 year OR B1/B2 visa (valid for min. 1 year) • Light to Non drinkers are preferred as this is a DRY boat. • Happy, fun, active and enjoys a family style program. You are treated like one of the family. • At least 1 season experience ideally in Deck maintenance, Lines/Fenders, Watch keeping. • Some experience in Interior cleaning, laundry, provisioning. Some cooking skills are nice but not a requirement.
