Burgess Recruitment is looking for an Interior Manager for an 85m Charter Yacht. The role involves managing the entire vessel interior and a team of 9 crew members, including 2nd Stew/HoH, 3 Housekeepers, 3 Service Stewardesses, and 1 Laundryman (inclusive of 2 Spa team members and 1 nurse). The Interior Manager will be responsible for developing and managing work schedules, collaborating with chefs, leading shipyard operations, managing department budgets, overseeing inventories, maintaining owner and guest preferences, participating in pre-charter meetings, providing crew training, and leading recruitment efforts. The candidate must have proven longevity on a similar-sized vessel, up-to-date maritime certifications, and a B1B2 visa (preferred).
• Proven longevity on a similar-sized vessel operating commercially. • Up-to-date maritime certifications, including all refreshers. • B1B2 visa in hand (preferred) as joining will be in the USA, though applications without this will still be considered. • Other relevant visas in place and valid. • Contactable references. • Ability to manage a team onboard of 9 crew members at one time, including: - 2nd Stew/HoH - 3 x Housekeepers - 3 x Service Stewardesses - 1 x Laundryman (inclusive of 2 x spa team members and 1 nurse). • Oversee a total interior crew on the books comprising: - 1:1 rotation for: 2 x 2nd Stews, 2 x HoHs (one is a nurse), and 2 x Laundrymen. - 4:2 rotation for 9 additional crew: 3 x Spa Stewardesses (1 service, 1 housekeeping/service, 1 housekeeping), 3 x Service Stewardesses, and 3 x Housekeepers (1 is a nurse). • Develop and manage work schedules, lists, and rotas aligned with MLC HoWR, ensuring maintenance of all vessel aspects at all times. • Collaborate closely with chefs. • Take a leading role in shipyard operations related to the interior, including job creation, defect resolution, and implementing improvements. • Manage department budgets, accounting, and cost codes. • Oversee inventories, uniform provisions, toiletries, and crew confectionery supplies. • Maintain and update owner and guest preferences. • Participate in pre-charter meetings and planning. • Provide crew training in service, housekeeping, spa, and laundry. • Lead crew recruitment efforts. • Encourage safety training among the crew and maintain thorough knowledge of vessel safety protocols and equipment. • Participate in frequent crew reviews and appraisals to uphold standards.
