Chief Stew

TYS Recruitment is looking for a Chief Stew for a single season, 45m MY, based in Greece. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a chief stew on vessels of a similar size. There is a crew of 13 on board, including 4 stews on the interior team, and an excellent HOD team known for their excellent longevity. In this role, you will primarily serve as the "boss-off Chief Stew," responsible for running the winter yard periods and covering when the "boss-on Chief Stew" is on leave. You will also step in when the second stew takes time off. This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a more relaxed environment, enjoys organizing and overseeing contractors and projects, and is structured while caring for the vessel. Candidates must be flexible with their schedules, as the summer season may involve short-notice guest trips. The owners are wonderful and typically use the vessel during the summer while spending winters in the shipyard. This program is specifically designed to promote a balanced lifestyle, as the vessel is docked in port every night, allowing ample time ashore during off hours. Candidates should be willing to commit long-term and embrace this relaxed program.
