Captain

This is a very active program. The family and crew do most everything together. Eating, cooking, hiking, activities, etc. It is a dry boat so best for a crewmember that enjoys a healthy lifestyle. A glass of wine at dinner is acceptable. The yacht is a 25m / 76' Motor Private US flag vessel that will be based in Newport, RI (yard) and cruise the New England / Maine area for the summer, and the Caribbean (Antigua, Southern Bahamas) in the spring. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a captain, with deck maintenance, engineering maintenance, safety/navigation, and experience in the New England, Maine, Caribbean, and Southern Bahamas regions. The interior/deck role requires some experience in cleaning, laundry, provisioning, lines/fenders, and watchkeeping. Cooking skills are a plus, but not a requirement as everyone pitches in. The family spends a lot of time on board and are very active, so a happy, fun, and active personality that enjoys a family-style program is essential.

• STCW • ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months+) • US Passport/Green card Ideally - valid minimum 1 year OR B1/B2 visa (valid for min. 1 year) • Light to Non drinkers are preferred as this is a DRY boat. • Happy, fun, active and enjoys a family style program. You are treated like one of the family. • Some sailing is a plus as they have a sailing tender.
