Role Overview
75m explorer style yacht looking for a AV/IT Engineer. Rotational position - 10 weeks on/10 weeks off. Bonus structure in place. Salary to be discussed with candidates. Start date late September. Vessel is world cruising and usually heading for more unusual places. Guest facing roll so a high degree of professionalism in guest interaction is necessary. Standard modern yacht AV and IT systems in place for networking, servers, security, lighting and entertainment. More specifics to be discussed with prospective candidates. Responsible for operational status and upkeep of hardware and software for all AV, IT and communications systems onboard with help from the rest of the engineering team. Working as a part of an engineering team of 3.5. Responsible for purchasing and budgeting for hardware, spares, upgrades and service assistance relevant to the position alongside the Chief Engineer. A foundation knowledge of engineering will be useful as you will also be a part of the engineering team and watch schedule. This is a hands on position, not a desk job. The crew generally live a healthy and active lifestyle with time off in new places being focused on exploring wherever we may be.
