Role Overview

Captain – 43 m Motor Sailor Yacht – Immediate Start The opportunity A 43 m Motor Sailor Yacht has just been bought by a new owner and is now in a shipyard for refit. The owner is building a completely new crew and needs a Captain to join as soon as possible. You’ll oversee the end of the refit, help recruit and shape the team, and prepare the yacht for her first season. The vision This yacht was created with a different purpose from the usual charter. The owner believes that time at sea, away from noise and distraction, can bring people back to presence, attention and real connection, with nature, with themselves and with each other. Life aboard follows the rhythm of the wind and the weather rather than a packed schedule. Every voyage is designed to connect guests with wild places, local cultures and regenerative projects, with the clear intention of leaving each place better than it was found. Hospitality is still exceptional, but the focus is on shared experience rather than pure luxury. The program Now: refit and crew building From May: Mediterranean summer season Autumn: preparation and ocean crossing Winter season: Brazil and Costa Rica, plus cruising on the Amazon River Then: return to the Mediterranean On board, the yacht will run private charters, retreats and gatherings with yoga, wellbeing and nature activities led by experienced facilitators, and expeditions with local guides. On ocean crossings, guests can join the working crew under professional guidance. The crew The owner is building a founding crew of 8 people who combine professional excellence with character: people who love nature, care about regeneration and personal growth, and look after each other, the guests and the places they visit. The role As founding Captain, you’ll help shape this program from day one and set the tone for the culture on board. You’ll lead a small, close-knit crew, combining safe and professional yacht operations with a relaxed, open, guest-centred atmosphere. You’ll work closely with the owner and the retreat facilitators to bring the vision to life.

Requirements

Requirements Minimum Master 500 GT (or higher) GMDSS GOC Proven experience as Captain on sailing yachts of 35 mt + A true sailor: you love being under sail, not just on passage Available to join ASAP Open-minded and genuinely aligned with nature, wellbeing and regeneration Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to build a positive crew culture Good written and spoken english Nice to have Ocean crossing experience Refit or yard period experience An interest in yoga, outdoor activities, sustainability or retreat-style hospitality Additional languages a plus Package Salary industry standard based on experience· Full-time position
