Role Overview
37m sailing yacht built in 2014, is looking for an experienced rotational Sailing Yacht Captain to join at the end of September 2026. This is not a standard Captain role. The yacht has new owners and is preparing for a demanding, knowledge-heavy programme from spring 2027: UK, Scotland, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Canada, USA, Bermuda and the Caribbean, returning to the Mediterranean for summer 2028 before completing the 15-year Lloyd’s survey. The role will run on a 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off rotation. The winter yard period will be split between Montenegro and Vilanova, Spain. The owners live aboard and are described as easy-going.

Minimum OOW required. Candidates should have at least 5+ years’ experience on similar-sized sailing yachts, with strong passage planning, seamanship and leadership ability. Prior experience with high-latitude or North Atlantic cruising is strongly preferred, especially UK, Scotland, Faroes, Iceland, Greenland, Canada, USA, Bermuda or Caribbean passages. Excellent communication, crew management and owner-facing skills are essential. The full crew will move onto rotation from February 2027, so the Captain must be confident managing handovers, continuity and a rotating crew structure.
