Role Overview
Sailing Match is looking for a mate/eng for a 30 meter sailing yacht! A Southern Wind sailing yacht is looking for a Mate/Engineer to join her for the 2026 Mediterranean season. Based in Vilanova, has a confirmed summer programme cruising the Balearic a combination of private charter and owner use. The captain is experienced and hands-on with engineering, and will oversee technical works directly making this a collaborative role rather than a solo technical responsibility. Systems onboard are straightforward. What matters most is the right attitude: a competent sailor who is self-sufficient, engaged, and comfortable with the full range of life on a working sailing yacht. For the right candidate, there is a genuine opportunity to carry this into a new build project in Cape Town at the end of the season a rare chance to be part of something from the beginning.
