Cargo Handling, Securing cargo properly to prevent movement during voyages. Handling ropes and equipment used for cargo. Assisting in watch keeping duties like look out port watch. Participating in emergency drills (fire, abandon ship, man overboard). Following safety procedures and wearing proper protective gear.

Cleaning and maintaining the ship's decks, hull, and superstructure. Chipping, painting, and greasing surfaces to prevent rust. Assisting in the handling of ropes and mooring operations.
