M/Y Goldeneye

As Chief Officer aboard a 54-meter private support vessel forming part of a prestigious dual-yacht fleet with a 74-meter mothership, I worked closely with the Captain to lead all deck, bridge, and safety operations under one of the most demanding and experienced ownership programs in the industry. I managed and trained the deck department, implemented structured maintenance and safety routines, and ensured flawless vessel presentation for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. I supervised the vessel’s five-year class survey and drydock period, coordinating directly with the classification society and verifying that all safety, firefighting, and lifesaving systems were fully operational and compliant. I conducted comprehensive drills and emergency response training for the entire crew, maintained the Safety Management System, carried out weekly bridge equipment and GMDSS checks, organized watch schedules, supervised safety rounds, and handled all voyage planning, chart and ECDIS management, and navigation documentation. Our cruising program covered the U.S. East Coast, New York, Massachusetts, Martha’s Vineyard, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean, operating safely through high-traffic areas and restricted visibility conditions. In addition, I held bridge command time and independently performed vessel maneuvering and docking operations, managing the yacht’s movements with precision in close-quarters and challenging conditions. I also managed port clearances, liaised with agents, oversaw budgeting and vessel accounts, supported the engineering department, and directed tender and water toy operations, including crane launch and retrieval. Throughout, I maintained composure, precision, and accountability, consistently delivering operational excellence within a high-performance, safety-driven private program.
