• As the only electrical engineer I was solely responsible for the AV/IT onboard making sure all the racks and equipment were in good working order. • Covering the seconds role I was responsible for the day today rounds and logs. • Using idea maintenance systems keeping up to date will all routine and unplanned jobs. We also had to rebuild the system, updating all storage invintory • Due to years of use, we rebuilt the storage section of idea, making sure all spare parts were correctly accounted for and in the system with photos • Monitor the yard and all jobs for the 10 year yard period, replacing all genset and GMDSS batteries onboard, replacing all UPS rack units, assist MTU with overhaul of Gensets and main engines • Updating and keeping crew/guest AV equipment in good working order. Managing the plex system to keep movies and software up to date • Teaching the engineering day worker on how to complete maintenance and how parts of the vessel works • Fault finding and repairing all systems onboard, redesigning some systems to make them simpler in operation and repair • Participating in all emergency drills and covering BA team role due to skeleton crew
