Leading Deck team, planning upcoming jobs and overseeing the progress. Purchasing washing products, deck safety items. In contact with National Marine, Survitech, Viking. Garbage and Ballast Management. Improving SMS, including non-conformity, adding new risk assessments, transferring data to NAPA. Worked with MMV (ManageMyVessel). Monthly Accounting. Searching and hiring new deckies, shore contractors. In charge of LSA and FFE certificates. Daily contact with shore agencies (BWA, etc). Organizing maintenance for safety items on board, water toys. Updating safety information of training manuals onboard. Conducting safety trainings/drills to crew according to Company Drill Matrix. Administration duties: (arrival/departure documents, company SMS forms). Preparing guests set up, safety trainings for using water toys and helping interior department. Dry dock: Contacting with HSE Officers, integrating dry dock permits with company SMS standards, supervising ongoing jobs as part of Safety officer duties, maintaining Fire-Fighting system, BWT/FWT tanks inspection, handling ABS class survey.
Third Officer
Testing/Maintaining: GMDSS and Bridge equipment based on the Solas requirements. Preparing passage plans according to company itinerary and SMS requirements. Commissioning/Updating: ENC, E-NP, ADP, Witherbys publications. Maintaining/Inspecting: LSA and FFE equipment onboard according to PMS and Flag/Solas requirements.
