My name is Asaf Amir, I'm 28 years old, from Israel. My background in sea and Marine Engineering began at the age of 14 when I attended a naval military boarding school, where I studied Marine Engineering throughout high school, including extensive theoretical and practical training. After graduating, I chose to continue studying for two more years at the technical college associated with the boarding school to earn my diploma as a Practical Engineer Technician. (a total of 6 years at the Navy boarding school). Afterward, I enlisted in the Israeli Navy, where I spent the first two years as a 2nd Engineer. I then completed the Chief Engineer course, which I graduated from with honor. I served in the Navy for a total of 6 years, including 3 years of regular service and 3 years of permanent service. During my permanent service, I was responsible for all the Chief's Engineer's in the unit. I was also responsible for the mechanical maintenance of all vessels in the unit. I have extensive experience in performing maintenance tasks, inventory management and spare parts, overseeing projects, leading and commanding teams, and troubleshooting diesel engines and outboard motors. Throughout my service, I consistently performed at the highest level and received 5 certificates of excellence, one of which was awarded directly by the Commander of the Israeli Navy. I want to emphasize that I have an extreme passion for this profession. I’m here to work, with seriousness and responsibility, to do the job at the highest level and to make sure that the boat is always ready to set sail. always striving to improve my environment and make it more efficient and better. As someone committed to a long-term career, I aim to continue growing in the field, consistently taking courses to enhance my knowledge, and always ensuring the optimal performance of the ship's systems.
