CurrentWorking on M/Y Talitha took me from Iceland to the Mediterranean summer season. We began with a full boat unstow after a crossing, with just three days to prepare for four back- to-back charters and quick one-day turnarounds in between. I handled detailed cleaning of guest areas and cabins, ensuring everything was immaculate and guest-ready for seamless trips. During the crossing, I gained valuable experience securing, stowing, and flipping the boat, setting up storage spaces, air locks, laundry, and the onboard gym to keep all areas neat, safe, and ready for use. I also supported inventory management for cleaning, laundry, and interior stock to keep operations running smoothly. Starting as a crew stew setting up captain’s and crew cabins and assisting the galley team, I quickly stepped up into housekeeping and laundry, learning the yacht’ s high standards and delivering them consistently. Alongside interior upkeep, I supported service by setting up for breakfasts and handling mise en place pulls to keep the back end running efficiently. This role strengthened my ability to learn fast, multitask, stay organised, and provide polished, guest-focused service under pressure.
