Responsible for LSA and FFE checks, mooring and anchoring operations, wash downs, detailing, tender driving, and maintenance. Participated in firefighting and safety drills. Also completed a 15-year survey where I was involved in the painting using brush and rolling and tipping using International and Awlgrip paint systems. Busy private vessel which included a lot of sea time and guest interaction.

Involved in extensive jet tender driving and guest services, navigational watch duties, and maintenance tasks. Was put in charge of training new deck crew in driving the jet tenders as well as being one of two deckhand/tender drivers for Ultra High Net Worth guests. Completed my first Middle Eastern crossing from Naples to Abu Dhabi via the Suez Canal and assisted the Chief Officer in the bridge as Navigational Lookout and Helmsman from Doha to Saudi Arabia (+/- 10 days).

Managed VVIP guest services and participated in anchoring and maintenance operations. I was the sole deckhand onboard and did all the detailing and washdowns as well as assisted the Interior and Engineering departments. I joined the vessel while it was finished being built in the shipyard, so I gained invaluable experience as it was my first New Build yacht and first professional yacht position outside of South Africa.
