Monitored cargo handling operations at ports such as Klaipeda, Gdansk, Teesport, and Tilbury. Coordinated between the deck crew and terminal personnel, resolving issues related to stowage and cargo operations, reflecting my ability to manage and regulate maritime traffic and operations. Carried out periodic and generic maintenance of LSA & FFA from weekly safety checks to six monthly hose tests, keeping records in the planned maintenance system (PMS). Assisted the Master with navigation through narrow and congested areas of the river. Ensured that the vessel was appropriately secured at every pier along the river to allow for the safe embarkation and disembarkation of passengers, responsible for the main line and ramp while mooring. Carried out pre-departure and safety checks every morning, following the Safety Management System. Took a lead role in emergencies during drills, including coordinating with the crew during incidents such as man overboard or mechanical failures. Responsible for managing the Deckhand and Barista working on board, enforcing safety protocols, and optimizing their performance. Carried out bunkering and the taking of fresh water with the support of the Deckhand, ensuring all procedures were followed safely and efficiently. Enhanced the overall passenger experience by providing friendly and informative service, and answering questions about the route, local landmarks, and safety procedures.
