CurrentPreparing yacht for sale and assisting with 10-year Lloyd's survey. Overseeing pre-sale work lists, and ensuring the yacht is in working condition with spares onboard. Coordinating pre-sale sea trials and surveys with prospective buyers.
Part Rotation - Captain/Engineer
Conducted major overhaul of navigation, communications, and monitoring systems (radars, FLIR, Starlink). Extensive troubleshooting and fine-tuning of the Boening AMS system. Led multiple yard periods in the UAE: full repaint, shaft and prop balancing, gyro stabilizer replacement, and major modifications to sea chests and exhaust systems. Oversaw major engine overhauls on MTU main engines and Northern Lights generators. Cruised the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Europe (summer 2023). Oversaw shipping yacht from UAE to Europe.
Self Employed/Relief Engineer
CurrentRelief positions on S/Y Nikata (delivery to Antigua), M/Y Element, M/Y Mysorah, and S/Y Sea Eagle I. Consulting for Seaworthy Services(Marine Surveyor), including pre-sale surveys for a 40m sail yacht. Managed various small contracts, including kitchen installations and design/refinement of en-suite units for luxury tents used in events.
