I bring *over 15 years of maritime experience* and more than *300,000 nautical miles* at sea, with a solid background in deck operations, navigation support, tender handling, vessel maintenance, and maritime safety. I served for more than 12 years in the *South African Navy* as a *Leading Seaman and qualified Navy Diver* , where I gained extensive hands-on experience in anchoring operations, bridge watchkeeping, seamanship, deck maintenance, and navigation support. I spent over five years deployed at sea and regularly carried out Quartermaster duties both underway and alongside. Operating in demanding, high-pressure environments strengthened my discipline, leadership, adaptability, and attention to detail. Following my military service, I transitioned into the cruise sector, working as a Security Officer with MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys. In these roles, I was responsible for safeguarding passengers, crew, and vessel operations across international itineraries.
