I’m a motivated and hardworking deckhand with a strong foundation in navigation and seamanship. My experience spans inshore charter boats, two Atlantic crossings, and time aboard a commercial container ship, where I gained valuable insight into large-vessel operations, safety procedures, and disciplined watchkeeping. I recently completed my Yachtmaster Offshore training at UKSA on July 24th, 2025. This program sharpened my navigational and leadership skills, and has prepared me to take on more responsibility in the yachting industry. On deck, I’m confident with line handling, anchoring, washdowns, basic maintenance, and supporting navigation. My exposure to both commercial shipping and private yachts has made me adaptable, safety-conscious, and capable of working effectively in a range of environments—from offshore passages to fast-paced charter operations. I’m looking to join a professional, motivated crew where I can continue to grow, contribute to a positive team dynamic, and apply my skills in real-world settings. I value structure, reliability, and a strong onboard work ethic. Outside of yachting, I enjoy jet skiing, golf, sailing, and experiencing new cultures—activities that keep me active, engaged, and well-rounded on and off the water.

When I’m not working at sea, I like to stay active and make the most of my time off. I’m a big fan of jet skiing, there’s nothing better than getting out on the water and pushing a bit of speed. I also enjoy golf; it’s a great way to clear my head and keep my focus sharp. Sailing is another big one for me, not just as a job skill, but something I genuinely enjoy doing in my own time. Travel is something I’ve always loved, especially getting to experience new cultures. Whether it’s trying local food, exploring different coastlines, or just soaking up new ways of life, I find it keeps things interesting and gives me a broader perspective, something that definitely comes in handy when working with international crews. I also like to keep my navigation skills ticking over, nothing too intense, but I enjoy brushing up on theory or planning passages just to stay sharp. It’s one of those things I actually enjoy learning more about. Overall, I try to keep a good balance; staying active, learning where I can, and enjoying the variety that comes with life on and off the water.
Experience
Deck Cadet
As part of my university course, I completed a 3 month placement onboard BCL MY Oleander, a 120m container ship. I spent time watchkeeping and as lookout, completing gangway duties, container lashing and general cleaning. I also did steel maintenance including cleaning, painting, rust busting, chipping etc. BCL traveled between New Jersey and Bermuda.
Deckhand/Tour Guide
I spent a summer season working for K.S Watersports in Bermuda, completing inshore tours and sunset cruises. I lead kayak and assisted with jet-ski tours, along with working on deck of the 20m motor vessel. I was responsible for re-fueling the jet-skis, facilitating tours and reporting to the Captain, working within a deck team of 3.
