Bringing the boat out of shipyard, resetting the deck and bringing the boat through its 5 year survey immediately launching into a busy season of live aboard owners up the east coast. I ran thorough study sessions with the deck team to bring understanding, competence and confidence up to a higher level for all of us. Sadly my contracted ended early due to vessel owner's change in crew composition preference. I have since moved forward and set to completing more OOW modules.

Managing a team of 5 we have fully stripped the boats interior for a major refit, rust removed and prepared the hull/ bilges for immense steel work and painting and removed teak from multiple decks to be replaced. Sadly the launch got cancelled and the shipyard was extended to over a year so I decided to move on.

My responsibilities during a demanding shipyard period included resetting the boat after an entire refit and management change. I reorganized the LSA monthly's for efficient management, prepared the vessel for compliance with Polar Code regulations and set up the boat's lockers/ accessories i.e Gym equipment, inflatable cinemas, platforms etc. I also stepped up to bosun during the back-to-back summer charter season before we left for the Atlantic crossing to Canada. The boat has travelled off the beaten path to some phenomenal and challenging places such as the North Sea and the Northwest passage where we were really pushed to think on our feet.
