My name is Hugues Maillot, with a strong background in merchant navy and offshore ships where I have worked up to first engineer. I'm now seeking to bring my technical expertise and professional discipline to the luxury yacht industry. I have been working on busy ships, 24 hours maneuvering which gave me a strong experience in DP2 systems. Over the course of my seafaring career, I have gained extensive experience in preventive and corrective maintenance on propulsion systems and auxiliary equipments. I have worked a lot with Caterpillar, MAN and MAK engines. I had in the past an experience in super yacht (76m) which I really liked. My choice was to go back to merchant navy later on to build up more experience to be able to come back much stronger. My time in merchant navy allowed me to develop a strong team spirit together with a multicultural crew. I had the chance to be involved in several drydocks together with DNV and technical department. I'm highly motivated, versatile, and eager to join a dynamic and high-performing crew.

Seeking for rotational position as engineer on motor yacht. After more than 10 years of experience in dredging and offshore ships, I will provide all my knowledge regarding machinery installation onboard. I'm hard working and ready to be part of the team.

Experience
1st Engineer
CurrentGeneral maintenance and repair in Engine room. Experience with all kind of deck machinery such as ROVs, rescue / fast rescue boats, lifeboats. Cranes experience (provision cranes up to 10t, mobile cranes Liebherr up to 150t and main crane Liebherr 1500t). All maintenance on hydraulic jacking system (Muns/Parker Hydraulics). Maintenance and repairs on drilling system from LDD and Saipem. Advanced level in all DP2 operations. Ordering all spare parts related to engine room with respect of budget allowed. Preparation of 10 years class dry dock work scope in collaboration with technical department and DNV (done end of 2023). Management of all engine room team, as well as jacking operators division. Planning of FMEA and DP anual trials in cooperation with DNV. Bunkering (fuel and lubes) operations and oil record book. Familiar with all helicopter operations (crew change and spare parts). Relation between client and engine room department through daily meetings.
2nd Engineer
All maintenance and repair in accommodations, HVAC systems as well. Cranes experience (provision cranes up to 10t, mobile cranes Liebherr up to 150t and main crane Liebherr 1500t). Troubleshooting and all repairs on cranes hydraulic systems. All maintenance on hydraulic jacking system (Muns Hydraulics). Advanced level in all DP2 operations. Responsible for water production by reverse osmosis, treated by UV sterilizers. Responsible for sewage treatment plant equipped with membranes as the ship has green certification.
Apprentice Engineer
General maintenance of all deck and engine machinery (also maintenance on ROV). Work with Schottels installations. DP2 experience. Work on MAN B&W main engines (All general maintenance). Work on Caterpillar engines (All general maintenance). Work on all hydraulics systems. Steel work, wood work, welding, lathe machine.
