My name is Igor Knezevic and I am currently sailing as Chief Engineer with SHELL company on board one of the LNG tankers. I am now pursuing a transition into yachting industry as a Yacht Engineer. I hold C/E unlimited license and various others certifications required for my rank. I have accumulated extended engineering experience and knowledge over the past 25 years on board various vessels with focus on electric propulsion, diesel generators, various auxiliary systems as well as managing workforce, ships budget control and communication/arrangement for required service technicians and preparations for refits, reactivations and new builds commissioning as well as during normal sea going conditions.

I am at the position in my carrier where I am considering to pursue different engineers roles outside classic merchant navy due to longer tours on board and separation from my family as well as certain saturation from almost 25 years of service on various merchant navy vessels

Chief Engineer
CurrentIn charge for overall technical maintenance in engine room and cargo systems on deck. Managing officers and crew under engineering department. Managing ships budget and ordering spares as well as communication and coordination with various service engineer's and technicians for planned maintenance. Was involved in ships drydock as well as reactivation of the vessel.
2nd Engineer
In charge for day to day operation planning and maintenance of ER systems, machinery and ER workforce.

In charge for maintenance and operation of Cargo related machinery and equipment on deck as well as mooring machinery, cranes etc.
