Chien Engineer
The vessel was relatively new but had experienced a prolonged period of inactivity and inconsistent maintenance, which resulted in a number of technical challenges. I was responsible for addressing these issues and bringing all systems back to operational standard. We have recently completed the 5-Year Survey with Lloyd’s Register, and the vessel has successfully gone through a flag transition from Cayman Islands to Malta. I decided to resign from my position due to the vessel being placed under arrest by the authorities following financial issues. Despite having an excellent captain and a very strong crew environment, I made this decision due to the potential risk regarding salary payments. Overall, it has been a very valuable experience, particularly from a technical and operational standpoint.
