Chief Officer/2nd Officer
As Chief Officer/ 2nd Officer, my duties included, but were not limited to; passage planning (Full ECDIS - Wartsila Navi-Sailor 4000 and Navi-Planner), weather routing, navigation, deck team management, mooring and anchoring operations, internal, flag and class audits, ISM, ISPS and MLC management, planned maintenance (IDEA), drills and crew training, logbooks, payroll management, accounting, crew recruitment, itinerary building, RYA training centre management, shipyard project management (Full paint job, minor refit and maintenance period), work lists, inventories and Smartsheets, order lists, supplier relationships, stock management, tender driving, water sports, guest interaction and problem solving. Often taking over full command of the vessel while the Captain and Chief Officer were away on leave - I am proficient in running all areas of the vessel's management.
Relief 2nd Officer
Oversaw the deck department, managing daily operations, guest setups, navigation, tender driving, towing operations, water sports, mooring, anchoring and ensuring seamless Charter/ Owner turnarounds during a busy Mediterranean season.
Bosun
Managed a team of 5 deckhands, overseeing daily operations, maintenance, guest setups, tender driving, water sports, crane, tender and helicopter operations, during a demanding Charter/ Owner Caribbean itinerary, before returning to France for a busy shipyard period.
