I worked as a Junior Stewardess onboard a private sailing yacht for a full season, gaining hands on experience across all areas of the interior. My role involved rotating between service, housekeeping, and laundry as well as supporting the team during shipyard periods before and after the season. I developed a strong understanding of the private owner’s preferences, while also catering to friends and family guests, ensuring a personalised and high standard service at all times. My responsibilities included serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and maintaining a consistently immaculate interior presentation. I carried out detailed cleaning of guest cabins as well as daily upkeep of crew, guest, and bridge areas. I was also involved in extensive deep cleaning of all interior spaces during pre and post season periods. In laundry, I managed both guest and crew clothing and linens, including washing, stain removal, ironing, folding and organisation, ensuring efficiency and care with all items. I maintained a proactive, detail oriented approach throughout, contributing to a smooth running and guest focused environment onboard.

I worked as a waitress at Smith & Western, a lively Western themed restaurant known for its energetic atmosphere and high standards of service. My role involved delivering attentive, friendly customer service in a fast paced environment, taking accurate orders, serving food and drinks efficiently and ensuring guests had an enjoyable dining experience. I regularly handled busy shifts, managed multiple tables at once and worked closely with the team to maintain smooth service. The role also required strong communication skills, adaptability and a positive attitude to match the fun, themed setting while consistently meeting customer expectations.
