My role included helping in the preparation for a owners trip, being on the early/day shift for the during of the 2 week trip and assisting in the pack-down once the trip had ended. My responsibilities included helping with breakfast/brunch, lunch and occasionally dinner service, creating a different welcome drink everyday and regularly being the one to welcome guests back onboard, being solely in charge of beach setups and service on the beach for up to 24 guests, as-well as coffee, tea and drinks service throughout the duration of the trip.

As a senior housekeeper, my role has allowed me to further develop my skills and knowledge in housekeeping, as-well as the opportunity to gain more experience and confidence in service. Rotating through all aspects of interior and stepping up to cover the Head of Housekeeping whilst on leave every 3 months for a month, as-well as being solely in charge of the inventory and allocation of all crew uniform. Being in charge of breakfast setups during certain trips, as-well as helping with lunch, dinner and drinks service. Planning and hosting multiple Pilates and Yoga sessions ranging from 30 minutes to an hour for groups of up to 8 guests.

After my first year as a junior stewardess aboard, the Head of Housekeeping role was created. As a testament to my diligence and hard work, I was offered and accepted the role. My responsibilities included; the training of junior stewardesses, guest area detailing and checklists, inventory of all housekeeping related areas, the overview of guest cabin and laundry service, as-well as being solely in charge of the owners wardrobe. I also had the opportunity to gain experience in service-related areas, mainly doing guest Buffett style and family service, coffee and tea service, aperitif, wine and whiskey service, poker service and table settings, as-well as one on one service for the owner. Stand in Chief Stewardess: I had the responsibility to oversee and assign the detailing and preparation of all guest areas for an upcoming trip. I remained as Head of housekeeping for 8 months but decided to leave the vessel for further career progression and the chance to expand my knowledge in the industry.
