I hold a valid B1/B2 visa and bring over 27 years of marine engineering experience, including more than 13 years aboard luxury yachts. I am also an Ex Royal Navy Artificer. I am of energetic and happy disposition. I have proven experience both as a sole engineer during full Atlantic crossings and as Head of Engineering on larger vessels, where I managed departmental budgets, documentation, and procedural implementation. You may notice several temporary positions listed on my current CV. These were due to the limited availability of stable roles in recent years. However, these diverse experiences across various vessels, crossings, machinery types, and yard periods have greatly enhanced my skill set, adaptability, and professional network. My background includes extensive hands-on work with advanced marine systems, including CAT, MTU, and Deutz main engines, as well as a variety of generators. Brought into overhaul PMS and catch-up on maintenance following neglect from previous crew. Audited all equipment for defects and established datum levels for vessel sale preparation. Conducted sea trial surveys and technical Q&A for potential buyers. Developed and implemented new Planned Maintenance System, transitioned vessel from private to commercial use. Advised Captain on operational decisions and shipyard planning. Supported brokers and management companies during sales process. Took hands-on lead in restoring vessel to seaworthy and presentable condition. Performed AV/IT testing and systems survey. Initiated documentation and compliance process for 15-year Lloyd’s Register survey.
Sole Temp Engineer
Oversight of x3 Main Engine Works (MTU), Major Generators service. Running of vessel in absence of a vessel chief.
