My name is Mads Reissmann, I am 21 years old and I come from Copenhagen, Denmark. I come from a big family, so I am used to being together with a lot of different people. I have played all kinds of sports my whole life and still very much appreciate being active; whether it is inside or outside, raining or sunshine. Being curious is a fundamental value for me, because I find it very enriching meeting new people, learning new things and broadening my horizons. Therefore I also like seeing new places, discovering different cultures, seeing how life also can be lived and gain a bigger perspective. I graduated high school in the summer of 2022 and have since worked in both catering/restaurant business and construction business, where I learned to work with my hands and also taking care of customers, serving customers, either if it was in the kitchen or as a waiter.

Career Objective
My goal is to become an able-bodied seaman, so I later on can educate myself as a marine engineer. Therefore I would like to be a deckhand at your yacht in order to gain more experience at sea, work at a pleasure boat and offer my best service all over the ship; either if it is on deck, in the engine room, bridgewatches or catering. Whatever I might lack in the form of sailing time and experience at charter vessels, I make up for with enthusiasm, great ability to learn quickly and a desire to improve myself and get better every day. I will make it my mission to make the ship shine and be in great shape, so we can provide the guests a fantastic experience which will give them the desire to sail with us again. I am highly motivated to come and work onboard your yacht, and with my combined experience in the catering, construction and maritime business I believe I would be a great and helpful deckhand and good crew member onboard your yacht taking very good care of the yacht and guests.

Hobbies & Interests
Being active and social as mush as possible. I've been playing all kinds of sports my whole life. Mainly football but also a lot of different racket sports such as tennis, badminton, paddle tennis and table tennis. For water sports I've spent most of my summers at our vacation house at a danish island where kayaking and stand-up paddle board has been the main watersports. In the more recent years as I have been travelling a lot where I also have taken up the challenge to catch some waves on a surfboard. Other than being active and social, I also like to explore the world. Also the one under sea level as I currently have my Padi OPEN WATER certificate, which I'm planning on upgrading in the near future.
Experience
Ordinary seaman
The last part of 2024 I had my first professional maritime contract at Maersk Line as an Ordinary Seaman sailing worldwide. Even though my rank was ordinary seaman working on deck I also worked a lot in the engine room familiarizing myself with jobs maintaining a large machinery, working with power tools and keeping order in the engine room as well on deck.
