About
I’ve had the fortune to get a lot of varied experience so far in my yachting career, from long maintenance periods to expedition sailing and training, to ocean crossings and now to small boat captaincy. It’s fed my curiosity and drive to learn, which has now taken me on to working towards my master 200 which I hope to complete in December. I want to move across into bigger boats with my partner and find a more stable, consistent, permanent role for us to settle into for the next couple of years to grow and hone our skills as part of a crew. We are highly adaptable and easy to get a long with, love throwing ourselves in to new challenges and life in general, but do so with a smile on our faces and try to make others smile too. On the personal I am a very active young man with a passion for martial arts. I do yoga in the mornings when I can and like to get out and do bouldering if there is the opportunity. I’m always around for a chat and like to make people feel welcome and comfortable and look out for people and their wellbeing.

Experience
Captain
CurrentDelivered sailing yacht to Monfalcone and took delivery of new build MY Manona's. In charge of all aspects of vessel including mooring, anchoring, passage planning, customs, expenses, deck and exterior care, maintenance.
Deckhand
Passaged up west coast of Japan starting from Fukuoka to Hakodate, across North Pacific to Aleutians and explored Alaskan coast to BC, then the inner passage in BC to Victoria. Responsible for engineering and maintenance onboard.
Own Boat Tuition
CurrentTaught new boat owner boat handling, anchoring, night sailing and general new boat acclimatisation.
