Career Objective
As a qualified diesel plant fitter working in tough conditions on the mines for 4 years, 1 year of theoretical engineering in college as well as repairing outboard motors working for my father's business, I acquired many skills that helped me put my best foot forward on the yachts, allowing me to confidently rebuild engines as well as service and maintain all equipment on board.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy kitesurfing and am a keen snowboarder, wakeboarder and skateboarder. Being a drone and GoPro enthusiast, I enjoy documenting the world around me wherever I go.
Experience
Sole Engineer
Full main engine rebuild, generator replacement, installation of new equipment such as aircon units and fire systems, job delegation and general maintenance during multiple shipyard periods. Ordering equipment and parts, maintaining a clean and organised working environment as well as keeping track of job lists. Throughout a total of 15,000 nautical miles, I have held my own bridge and engine room watches.
Outboard Motor Technician
Servicing and repairing a wide variety of outboard motors and generator acquiring my Mercury Technician's passport and relevant certifications.
Diesel Plant Fitter
Maintaining, repairing and servicing a variety of mining machinery and equipment. Conducting caterpillar earthmoving equipment and delegating duties to my workshop team.
