I am a positive, energetic, and safety-oriented Chief Officer with 3 years' experience in the position. I am looking for my next vessel on which to firmly establish myself onboard and stay for the long haul while improving both the vessel as well as my own skill set. I enjoy and excel at the training of crew members in both working techniques as well as safety procedures and general seamanship.

Temp. Chief Officer
Replacement C/O for last guest trip of the season, Atlantic crossing, and yard period. Oversight of deck department and managing of yard work list. Liaising with contractors for specialized yard work. Training of deck team in skilled techniques; HVLP painting and calking repair.
Research Diver
Assisted in data capture and analysis for the continued research into the effectiveness of Marine Protected Areas within Indonesian waters. Led team of divers while conducting underwater surveys and deploying specialized equipment on the seabed. Assisted in the training of new researchers as well as new divers completing their first training modules. Led and completed 200+ dives in a wide variety of conditions affecting both currents and visibility, all while instructing the team in the successful completion of the day's task. Demonstrated an ability to problem solve and adapt to ever-changing conditions while working within a tight budget.

CurrentMaintained vessel compliance with international regulations focusing on ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, and Port and Flag State requirements. Management of SMS; safety checks, running drills, maintenance of equipment, continual updating of risk assessments and SOPs, and annual review and edit. Passage planning and safe watchkeeping in Caribbean, Mediterranean, North Atlantic, United States east coast, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, and North Sea waters. Creation and execution of extensive dive itineraries in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean waters while operating as the vessel's Divemaster. Upkeep of diving equipment and training of crew members in safe and careful diving assistance practices, and equipment maintenance. Maintenance of bridge publications portfolios, OLB, GRB, GMDSS log and seeing out both Port and Flag State surveys. Workload and resource management for the deck department; including the training of crew members in various techniques; varnishing, paint repairs, teak and calking repairs. Oversight and liaising with contractors during two yard periods; the second being a large refit and paint job. Serving as Relief-Captain for accumulative 3 months during final year onboard. Insuring constant state of readiness for vessel during sale period. Assisting with sale viewings and liaising with vessel brokers. Managing crew morale through a demanding season and uncertain time.
