What I want now is to work for a better company, one that actually values what I bring to the table. I’m looking for more modern ships, a professional environment, and a place where I can keep growing without being held back by politics or poor management. Long term, I might move into a shore based role, maybe in cybersecurity or IT, where I already have a background. But for now, I still enjoy the challenges and the rhythm of life at sea.

I’m passionate about electronics and electrical engineering, and I often enjoy troubleshooting and improving systems outside of work as a personal challenge. Technology and cybersecurity are also key interests of mine, especially when it comes to network systems and digital infrastructure. In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching football, as well as learning about cars, driving, and automotive technology. I stay active through bodyweight training and fitness routines, which help me maintain both physical and mental discipline. I also enjoy writing whether it’s electrical drownings or creative expression. Life at sea has taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of working in dynamic, high pressure environments.

Electro-technical officer
CurrentI serve as Electro-Technical Officer, actively involved in the maintenance and troubleshooting of key onboard systems. I worked on the electric propulsion system, performing diagnostics and ensuring optimal performance. I tested generator alarms, including overspeed protection and safety shutdown circuits. I installed and programmed sensors to detect fuel overflow in dedicated overflow tanks. I repaired and upgraded compressors, chillers, and heating elements. I resolved battery charging faults and managed associated alarms on the Praxis monitoring system. During dry dock, I supervised the replacement of compressors, reinstallation of motors, and removal of the seawater cooling pump. I also handled repairs on galley and laundry equipment, including the Miele PW814 washing machine. Additionally, I implemented improvements such as added thermal protection and verified trace heater functionality to increase system reliability.
