Serving as 3rd Engineer on board a Jan De Nul offshore support vessel, currently stationed at a major shipyard in Singapore for an extensive refit and maintenance period. Actively involved in all aspects of shipyard operations, including major overhauls of main and auxiliary engines, inspections of propulsion and power generation systems, and coordination with contractors during dry dock procedures. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of engine room and mechanical systems, including fuel and lubrication systems, cooling circuits, air compressors, pumps, and sewage treatment units. Monitor performance, diagnose faults, and assist in implementing corrective actions in collaboration with senior engineering staff. Support the vessel's Planned Maintenance System (PMS), ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications, class requirements, and company safety protocols. Maintain comprehensive engine room logs, technical records, and compliance documentation for internal and external audits. Work closely with shipyard teams and classification society representatives to ensure all maintenance and upgrade work meets regulatory standards and project timelines. Post-shipyard, responsible for preparing the vessel for operational deployment, including system testing, sea trials, and final inspections. Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement, contributing to the overall reliability and performance of the engineering department in both operational and refit environments.

Served as 3rd Engineer on board an oil/chemical tanker, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and routine inspection of engine room machinery and auxiliary systems. Duties included daily monitoring of main engine performance, managing fuel and lubrication systems, and overseeing equipment such as purifiers, pumps, air compressors, and generators. Assisted in the implementation of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), ensuring all tasks were completed in accordance with safety, environmental, and company standards. Played a key role in maintaining engine room cleanliness and safety, conducting regular rounds, and supporting senior engineers during troubleshooting and repairs. Maintained detailed engine room logs and documentation for port inspections, audits, and compliance with international maritime regulations including MARPOL and SOLAS. Participated in safety drills and emergency response procedures as part of the vessel's safety management system.

Gained practical experience aboard a bulk carrier, assisting the engineering team with daily engine room operations, maintenance routines, and safety procedures. Supported senior engineers with machinery inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems such as purifiers, pumps, generators, and auxiliary engines. Participated in bunkering operations and fuel transfer processes, while adhering to international safety and environmental regulations. Completed engine room watchkeeping duties and contributed to the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), developing strong technical knowledge and operational discipline in a commercial shipping environment.
