I was brought up in a sea faring family in Guernsey, and joined the Merchant Navy at the age of 16, as a Deck Boy. I worked my way up to a First mate where I left to go ashore. It was there I was offered a position as a Captain on a Motor Yacht taking a family from Guernsey to the Mediterranean Sea After that I did several jobs on superyachts either on a charter or delivery. I eventually ended up in Croatia where I obtained my Masters 3000gT certificate. I have now been working either as a Captain or Chief Officer for several years.

Sailed as Chief Officer and my responsibilities were route planning, Navigation, liaising with pilots and port authorities. Directing Bosun to do certain works and of course watchkeeping.
