Seeking a permanent or seasonal deckhand position on a private or charter onboard a 50M+ motor or sail yacht. I am a career-driven person with a calm and patient demeanour. I am hard-working and adaptable, bringing a strong technological aptitude, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards. I thrive under pressure, take pride in vessel upkeep, and excel in mentoring, especially working with children, including those with special needs. With a proactive attitude and a drive to learn. I would like to gain my Yachtmaster, EDH, AEC1, and AEC2 certifications, aiming to become a bosun and eventually an Officer of the Watch. I am ready to contribute to a high-performing yacht crew.

My hobbies reflect my active lifestyle and love for the outdoors. I enjoy playing water polo and open water swimming, which keep me fit and focused. I also like tennis and pickleball, as well as hiking and football, which give me the chance to stay social and explore new places. In my free time, I dabble in photography and videography, capturing moments both on land and at sea. I also have a basic knowledge of cooking, which I enjoy experimenting with when time allows.

Deckhand
On the 8-meter speed boat Odyssey, I worked as a deckhand from January 17 to March 17, 2025, in South Africa. My responsibilities included polishing stainless steel with Autosol, performing weekly detailed washdowns, and cleaning the boat cover every two days. I also handled general maintenance tasks as needed to keep the vessel in excellent condition.

I worked as a deckhand on S/Y LeCat, a 13-meter charter yacht in South Africa, from August 2024 to April 2025. My duties included weekly detailed washdowns, anchoring and mooring procedures, and serving drinks to charter guests. I successfully performed underwater repairs, such as removing the propeller and anode. I took pride in preparing the yacht’s exterior to the highest standard for incoming guests. I also supported long day trips, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction throughout.
