I am a seasoned maritime professional with experience gained from a wide variety of sectors on various ships and boats in senior positions. I do have 2 years experience in the yacht industry as captain on 2 vessels. A 51 meter private expedition 499GT M/Y and a 35 meter charter classic 135GT sail yacht. I have also completed several delivery jobs worldwide. I have cruising experience in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, British Isles, Norway, Red Sea, Atlantic and Indian Ocean. I am calm, professional, confident and very hard working. I'm also active and healthy with a happy positive outlook. I like to lead from the front with empowerment, encouragement and inspiration and understand the importance of strong crew morale in the yacht industry and how it directly affects the guest experience onboard.

Career Objective
I absolutely loved every day of my time in the yacht industry and have missed it ever since I left. Why did I leave I hear you ask. Well my son was born and I wanted to be there to raise him. At that time rotation wasn't a thing. He's now 18 and I really want to pick up my career where I left off. I have spent the past year studying to update and convert all my certificates and qualifications over to yachting relevant CoCs. I now hold Officer of the watch Unlimited, Chief Mate Yachts 3000t and have my final oral exam for master 500t on July 31st. ( Wish me luck:) Ideally I want to find a position I can settle into long term. I am equally as happy to take a Captain position or Chief Mate on a larger vessel. I realise my age and the fact I have been away from the industry for so long will make it tough to get back into the industry and I have no unrealistic expectations of high salaries and rotations to start with. I will be happy just to be given the opportunity to get back into it and prove myself from there

I am providing leave cover for the Chief Officer. I joined the vessel in Bali and then completed a passage to Phuket where are underwent a short guest trip and maintenance period. My responsibilities were, maintaining a navigation watch, managing the SMS through IDEA, updating chart corrections, planning watch schedules, overseeing maintenance work, and assisting the captain
