Temporary 1st Officer
CurrentJoined vessel during handover from factory. Prepped vessel for delivery from Europe to Dubai. En route started to set the vessel up for full ISM and ISPS compliance. Started the process of setting up the vessel’s planned maintenance system. Changed name and flag state from Cayman to Oman. Dealt with high security training along with taking armed forces on board for the passage through high risk areas. Carried out multiple drills and safety familiarisation as all crew were brand new to the vessel.
2nd Officer
Joined M/Y Axioma during an extensive refit in La Ciotat, which included a full repaint, complete engine and genset overhauls, a full hydraulic system rebuild, major deck upgrades, a change in management, and a full flag and class audit. In my role, I cover approximately 70% bridge and 30% deck responsibilities: overseeing navigation and passage planning, managing bridge equipment, conducting drills, ensuring ISM/ISPS compliance and garbage handling, and leading a deck team of six. I collaborate closely with the Bosun to plan and coordinate daily deck operations. During our busy charter season, I shifted into a more hands-on role: driving tenders, assisting with toy setups, and supporting the team with daily maintenance to keep pace with our very demanding schedule.
2nd Officer
This was a temporary position to fill in for leave while we prepared for the passage from Spain to Antigua. During this time, I was in charge of running the deck team with preparation for the Antigua Yacht Show along with all the preparation for an Internal and Flag Audit on arrival.
