My name is Terence, and I am the Mate aboard Iceni Vengeance. She is a 23-meter crew transfer vessel. As the First Mate, it’s my duty to ensure the smooth operation of the ship and to assist the captain in all matters of navigation, safety, and crew management. You’ll often find me on deck overseeing daily tasks, guiding the crew, and making sure our vessel is at the highest standard and always running. In addition to performing hands-on tasks such as operating machinery, handling lines, and maintaining deck equipment I also supervises and train new deckhands, ensuring they follow safety protocols and are wearing all the correct PPE and complete their tasks to a high standard. Always ensuring the deck area is clean, organized, and in optimal condition for safe operations.prior to this I worked as fleet manager and sailing instructor for a sailing school and charter company I’m a Yachtmaster Offshore commercially endorsed I was teaching regularly as well. I also spent two years in Greece teaching windsurfing and dinghy sailing as well as yachting. I have compiled a good amount of knowledge and experience throughout my years working in the industry and very much look forward to enhancing these skills in a new role
