I am a dedicated and versatile Deckhand with over two years of hands-on experience in the yachting industry, including extensive sportfishing charters, transatlantic crossings, and both motor and sail vessel deliveries. My recent role as First Mate onboard a sportfishing motor catamaran allowed me to take on high levels of responsibility, from leading guest fishing excursions to overseeing tender operations, deck upkeep, and engine room maintenance. With over 30,000 nautical miles logged - across varied sea conditions and operational demands - I bring solid seamanship and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to my next position. My background prior to yachting includes a diploma in Motor Mechanics and running a successful carpentry business, both of which continue to enhance my onboard capabilities. I’m confident working across a lot of engineering tasks, mechanical troubleshooting, and carpentry projects - skills that often prove invaluable on busy itineraries. I’m safety-conscious, technically skilled, and eager to contribute wherever needed. I take pride in being a reliable, positive team player who supports the smooth and professional running of the vessel, both in guest-facing and operational settings. Currently, I’m furthering my qualifications by completing my IYT Yachtmaster 200gt Limited qualification, I have completed the theory, and the practical is booked for 1 - 6 September. I’m now seeking a new challenge where I can bring my strong work ethic, technical knowledge, and enthusiasm for life at sea to a dynamic and hardworking crew
