Responsibilities included: Crew management, training and inductions. Performing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checks on LSA and FFE safety equipment. Planning and conducting monthly drills and toolbox talks. Carrying out risk assessments. Overseeing the safe execution of deck operations. Managing deck maintenance and monthly crew work lists. Inspecting and maintaining standing and running rigging. Coordinating directly with contractors. Maintaining inventory of deck consumables. Passage planning and assisting the master in anyway required.
Delivery Crew
Watch leader on PS5, CNB 76, from Palma, Mallorca to Las Palma, Gran Canaria in preparation for the ARC crossing to St Lucia with the owners in November.
Bosun
Responsible for all aspects of deck maintenance included in my day-to-day roll as a deckhand plus managing my own schedule and timeline during re-fit, managing day workers and contractor.
