Current2x CATERPILLAR 3512 Main Engines SCR SYSTEM + Hydraulic PTO’s Incorporated, 1x CATERPILLAR C4.4 Generator, 2x CATERPILLAR 7.1 Generators. Full responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of the vessel with Owner’s heavy usage and charters. YACHTLINK plan maintenance. Lots of hydraulics onboard including NAIAD as main HPU system. Major achievements: repair of SEAKEEPER on the main tender which got flooded twice before joining, saving about 40K USD. And, repair of SOLAS hydraulic crane and correcting of the internal arrangement of the hydraulic hoses. Supervising an extensive 5 years survey during Dry Dock in Antalya, Turkey. During this period, two generators were overhauled.
Chief Engineer
2x MTU 16V 4000M 73L Main Engines, 5x CATERPILLAR C18 Generators. Full responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of the vessel. Coordination and supervision of all engine department team. Management of all engine department consumables and spare parts purchases in the most economical way without compromising the safe operation of the vessel. Major achievement: repair of a burnt 110v converter for guest areas distribution which was planned to be replaced for a 50K Euros one and supervision of Major Overhauling of 4 x Diesel Generators, including initial running test. NOTES: Owner living onboard. 3 crossings US to EUROPE and EUROPE to ASIA. ETO jobs carried out by the C/E.
1st Engineer
4x Sulzer 6ZL 40/48 Main Engines, 4x Sulzer 8AL 25/30 Generators. Full responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of the vessel under the direct Chief Engineer’s supervision. Supervise that all watch keepers carry out their assigned duties. Responsible for the day-to-day technical work performance onboard, for the daily works carried out by the service group and for the advice and instruction given. Responsible for bunkering of fuel and lubrication oils operation. Responsible for maintenance and to have in good operation Steering Gear, Thrusters, Propeller Shaft, CPP, Stern Tube and its system. Designated person for the Fire and Safety Equipment in the Engine Room. Responsible for Maintenances/Inspection of local CO2 Systems, Sprinkler, Hi-Fog systems, Emergency Generator and its maintenance. Responsible for all critical equipment, hot work and enclosed space permits.
