Experience
2nd Engineer
CurrentDuties conducting weekly and monthly maintenance on the mtu 4000 16v engines, including pre-startup and pre-arrival procedures. Monitor engine parameters underway and address any issues promptly. Regularly service and maintain the vessel's generators to ensure reliable power supply. Bunkering operations ensuring proper fuel transfer. Rebuild of exhaust manifolds and cooling system on main engines and a full rebuild on a northern lights 99kw generator engine, mtu exhaust stack o rings replacement, install new water makers, Interior defects, repairs on domestic air handlers and plumbing systems throughout the vessel. Sewage treatment HMX plant maintenance and oversee the sewage treatment system, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with environmental regulations, regularly cleaning of sea strainers, water maker operations and repairs.
Deck/3rd Engineer
During my time on Plan B, I had the privilege of working in both the deck and engineering departments. My responsibilities included overseeing four tenders on board, along with two wave runners. As a research and expedition vessel, we engaged in various operations, including helicopter missions, diving expeditions, and scouting uncharted waters using the tenders for safe passages. In the engineering department, I diligently serviced and repaired the tenders, maintenance of fan coils, sea strainers, water makers, and sewage plants. Additionally, I assisted the tender launching process using the onboard crane.
Deck/Engineer
My time on Liquid Sky with over 6 months of face-to-face guest interaction consisted of washdown between each charter, tender driving line handling water sports with guests. Daily duties was to keep the yacht clean and reset after guest went ashore, assist chief engineer where needed with general maintenance / repairs and engine room watch keeping duties. Allowed me to gain useful skills that will come helpful in my yachting career.
