Managed this busy Balearic based programme, accommodating 1-8 guests for trips of up to two months, often with very short turnarounds between. Successfully completed two yard periods. Responsible for all engineering, maintenance, safety equipment, logs, passage plans and general day to day operations of the vessel including budgets and provisions. Hired, familiarised and trained additional crew (deckhand, chef and/or stew) when required.

Based out of Palma operating in a fleet of 30 vessels, all of which I sailed at some point. Led 1 week charters, completing 18 - 20 through the summers, responsible for all daily operations of the vessel and full guest relations, from familiarisation and teaching sailing, to concierge and general service. Sourced, trained and assisted other skippers within the fleet, also worked with the fleet engineering technicians to develop their seamanship, quay etiquette and sailing abilities. Worked alongside chefs and interior crew, demonstrating leadership, mentoring and training. Carried out winterisation, repairs and maintenance programmes.

Taught both theory and practical courses to various students with a high pass rate. We operated 42ft sailing vessels, teaching the students how to maintain and operate safely and to a high standard.
