Deckhand
Working in close proximity with a 70m support vessel. Fire fighter for Daily helicopter operations. Working aloft and over board. Morning setup and general upkeep/detailing the boat. Weekly wash downs while off trip. Night shifts, rinsing polishing and setting up for the morning shift. Daily swim operations with water toys (SUP, E-Foil, jetskis, towables, kayaks). Assisting launching and recovering all tenders and bunkering. Driving tenders, 11m twin prop inboard, 11m twin jet, 9m rhib 450R outboard. Atlantic crossing and navigational watch while underway.
Deckhand
Replacing a deckhand while on holiday. Getting the boat ready for the first trip of the season. Chipping, sanding, priming and painting lockers. Top coating shell doors. Washing the boat, polishing and Teak step 1 and 2. Navigational watch while underway. Night shift, washing, rinsing drying and setting up the yacht for the next day for guests to enjoy.
Deckhand
Started as a dayworker and was offered a permanent contract on the 1st of March 2023. Shipyard period spent in the Palumbo yard in Malta. Learned valuable skills such as how to grind, fill, sand and re seal and re-paint cracks, rust and damage to the exterior paint. Cleaning and detailing the exterior areas (washdown, polishing stainless, polishing windows, teak care). Working overboard and aloft in a harness to clean and detail the side of the vessel. Setting up and general upkeep of the exterior areas while guests were on board. Loading and unloading tenders - Catamaran 9m, Rescue 7m, Limo 8m. Floating dock operations of a 11m tender. Tender driving and maintenance. Performed watch duties under way, filling out the bridge log and updating charts. Emergency training drills in MOB, Firefighting and Abandon Ship. Fire fighter in Helicopter operations.
