Earn a free Premium listing with Yachtee referrals

Know a fellow captain or head of department looking for crew? If they are hiring for an employer that is new to Yachtee, your introduction could earn your account a free Premium job listing for its next crew search.

Yachtee's employer referral programme is now live. When a new employer joins through your referral link and pays for and publishes their first Premium or Pro listing, your employer account earns one free Premium listing, once both accounts are verified and eligibility checks pass.

For captains and the people who hire alongside them

A chief stew building an interior team, a chief officer recruiting deck crew or a captain preparing for a new season may be looking for another way to reach candidates. A recommendation is most useful when it fits a real hiring need.

The programme is open to employer accounts for yachts, fleets, crew agencies and yacht management companies. You do not need to have bought a listing yourself before referring another employer.

Think of colleagues hiring for another employer: a fellow captain, a head of department on a different yacht, or a recruitment contact at another organisation. They need to join on behalf of a genuinely separate employer. An additional account for the same yacht, fleet, agency or company does not qualify.

How your introduction earns a reward

1. Get your account's referral link. Open Employer referrals in your employer dashboard and copy your invitation link. The employer referral page explains the programme and takes you to your link.
2. The new employer joins through that link. They must use it when creating their account. Sending this article alone does not connect their account to yours, and an existing account cannot be referred retrospectively.
3. They pay for and publish their first Premium or Pro listing. Your free Premium listing becomes available once both employer accounts are verified and the eligibility checks pass. There is no fixed waiting period. A referral needing review appears as Being checked in your dashboard.

Joining alone does not earn a reward. A free Basic listing or a fully discounted purchase does not qualify, and a later paid purchase cannot replace the first paid Premium or Pro purchase for this programme.

Whether the new employer chooses Premium or Pro, your reward is always one Premium listing.

Use the reward for your next crew search

Your reward includes Premium's suitability assessment, eligibility for targeted outreach and 30 days of crew search. Choose a listing duration of 14, 30, 60 or 90 days.

When your next job is ready, select Use free Premium reward and confirm. You can publish a new Premium listing or upgrade an active Basic listing, without a card or checkout.

Use the reward within 12 months of the later of the referred listing's payment and publication. Your dashboard shows the exact expiry date. The reward belongs to your employer account and cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash or applied to Pro.

Make the recommendation clear

Let the other employer know that your account can earn a free Premium listing if the introduction qualifies. Their price stays the same; the referral does not give them a discount or a free listing.

Recommend Yachtee where you think it will be useful, and let the other employer decide whether it suits their hiring needs. Refunds, payment disputes or an ineligible referral can invalidate a reward. The referral terms explain the full conditions.
